Biography

Elisa Iovene is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy), where she works on the TRAMIS (Trustworthy Robotic Assistant for Improved Minimally Invasive Surgery) project.

She received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Bioengineering and Technologies for Electronics from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2018 and 2021, respectively. In 2024, she earned her Ph.D in Bioengineering from Politecnico di Milano (Italy), focusing on the development of assistive robotic solutions for neurosurgical applications. Her research includes human-robot interaction, autonomy in surgical robotics, and signal processing.
