Silvia Proia completed with honours a double degree M.Sc. program between Polytechnic University of Bari, Italy and NYU Tandon School of Engineering, USA in Mechanical Engineering with major in Mechatronics and Robotics in 2020. During her M.Sc., she worked on biomedical devices, tele-robotics systems, signal processing and on electromyography, an innovative method to control prostheses. She received the Ph.D. degree in Industry 4.0 in 2024 from the Polytechnic University of Bari.
She is currently a Post-Doc Researcher at the Department of Science and Methods for Engineering, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. Her research focus is Industry 4.0, automation, decision and control techniques for collaborative and cooperative robotic systems.
