Simulation Engineer - Research Collaboration

I developed a C# library of industrial packing machines to be then implemented in the simulation software Xcelgo Experior. The assignment is connected to the European Project IMPROVE (http://improve-vfof.eu/) of which I am being part of since my Internship period. I worked with the international partners of the project and collaborated with OCME s.r.l. (http://www.ocme.com), in order to define its requirements. To accomplish the assigned tasks, I also had a training period in Denmark, at the Xcelgo offices (http://xcelgo.com/).


February 2016 – May 2016

Simulation Engineer – Internship
University of Modena and Reggio Emilia

I developed a simulation model for the support of the control design of PLC (Programmable Logical Control) for production lines. The work is based on OCME s.r.l. (http://www.ocme.com) company system, and it is developed in the framework of the European Project IMPROVE (http://improve-vfof.eu/).

I worked in an international environment, where I dealt with the multiple involved parties. In order to accomplish my work thesis, I took part in several meetings, collaborated with OCME and a Danish simulation software house, Xcelgo ( http://xcelgo.com/ ) and developed the libraries (in C#) of all of the required production line machines for Xcelgo Experior simulator, receiving good feedback from the involved parties.
